MoU with Central China Normal University & new 2015 course in Beijing
In response to a request for collaboration by Central China Normal University, the WHO CC is pleased to announce the start of a new partnership which is aimed to strengthen research capacity, including joint research and training.
Located in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, Central China Normal University is a key comprehensive university directly under the administration of the Chinese Ministry of Education. As one of the universities on the list of 211 National Education Priority Project, Central China Normal University is highly recognized as an important base for cultivating brilliant talents for the country, as well as a superior training centre for excellent teachers in higher learning institutions and high schools.
The WHO CC will provide a one-week advanced leadership and health management programme via CCNU’s Centre for Public Health for senior health executive in China in 2015, which will be followed by another two-week advanced leadership and health management programme for China healthcare professionals to be delivered in London. This is expected to be the beginning of a long standing relationship between both organisations, to which both parties envisage that the training could be repeated for more healthcare professionals as well as setting up further or longer term education and training initiatives.
