PCPH Away Day – Working Better Together
On Wednesday 20th May 2015, the Department of Primary Care and Public Health had its first Away Day in 8 years. The entire department met at the Queen’s club, for an afternoon of talks and group works. The theme of the day was “Working Better Together” and consisted of four presentations and one group activity. Elizabeth Cecil presented her work on whether children end up in hospitals when primary care is withdrawn; Elena Barquero and Gilian Williams described their YEAR 3 CEPN inter professional pilot, and Doli Aina talked about communicating PCPH achievements. At the end of the day, groups worked on developing strategies for the improvement of collaborations within the Department, in terms of research and teaching. The Away Day was a great success, and our thanks go to the organisers, for the effort and time put into organising this outstanding event.
